College of Management long-term development plan (102~107)

Preface
College of Management (Hereinafter referred to as the College) follows this school educational blueprint, pushing College affairs by macroscopic attitude, forward-looking vision and the idea of sharing resources.  According to the development guidelines of the College, there are four views as follows

1.  To promoting the Industry-Academy Cooperative research and development capabilities of the College teachers, plan executive teacher short-term industry internships project.

 

2.  To enhancing the competitiveness of the College student, integrate Industry-Academy resources, emphasizing on the implement benefit of the Industry-Academy Cooperative.

 

3. To strengthen the height and depth of the industrial vision under the trend of globalization, it is a necessary path for our  department to develop an international learning environment.

 

4. To shaping reputation of the College, strengthen alumni services, the College will urge every Department to be devoted     to developing the organization and features of every Department alumni.

 

Organizational Structure and General  

To the College affairs operate completely, there are verities of commissions in the College, each commission hold the meeting regularly, uphold the principle of the sharing resources, fulfilling the relationship of the cooperation and development, integrate whole resources of each department in the College, equipment and periodicals are used together, adjunct teachers, and teachers who help some curricula, integration of course materials and subjects credits, and the credits of the professional optional courses are mutual recognized.  Besides, there are Vice-President and secretary to help President to push the work and plans of each department.

 

Development Strategy
The College follows the school, long-term development plan, there are four main strategies: personnel training, research and development, professional services, school affairs innovation, and plan every sub-strategy.  Overall, the College tend to develop the features “profession”, ”innovation”, “educated ”as follows:  

1. Train students the ability of DIY

 

2. Plan learning career completely, offer interdepartmental secondary expertise program.

 

3. Construct double degree; offer students the pathway to attend double degree.

 

4. Push industry-academy exchange actively, enhance the academic research and industry-academy level of the College

 

5. Set up Professional Advisory Service Centre to develop department, strengthen the resources and superiorities

 

6. Push academic teaching and research team which is “research group of apprenticeship”.

 

7. Promote the implementation of education, promote lifelong learning.

 

The Goal of the Unit Development and Strategies

 Following this school educational blueprint , the features of the College and the analysis of SWOT, draw up the affairs of the College development goals and key strategies, there are short-term, intermediate-term, long-term  explanation respectively

 

1. Short-term strategy (one to two years)

a. Increase innovation knowledge: improve the structure of teachers to the rules of the Ministry of Education, integrate every department courses to enhance the learning effect.

b. Integrate industry-academy resources, culture the employability: culture students graduate as soon as employment, go to work and get the hang of it. 

c. Devoted to merging with the world: enlarge teachers and students international vision.    

d. Establish advantages and characteristics: reaching combined external resources, enlarge the influence of the target 

 

2. intermediate-term strategy (three to four years)

a. Push the exchange students with china and other countries students actively

b. Push varieties pragmatic internship courses, to meet the spirit of technical and vocational recycling plan

 

3. Long-term goal (more than five years)

a. Establish the team of the industry-academy pragmatic completed teachers

b. Implement the mechanism of the industry-academy personnel training

Self-examination mechanism

The collage is going to hold a college affairs council once a semester for all the staff.   In this meeting, we will focus on the action program of the collage and every department.

It is a requirement that all staff from each department must come to an agreement on the goals and strategies for the action program using a joint effort in order to successfully achieve the objectives.  If anybody has a problem with the action program, it should be discussed with the departmental affairs council and the college affairs council.

If it couldn’t be carried out, it could be changed. The purpose is to encourage more people to participate so that next year we can develop long-term plans and modify the action program.
